KMC Bakery Wedding Cake Policy

At KMC Bakery, we want every couple to feel confident, informed, and excited about their wedding cake. These policies help us stay organized and ensure your cake is created and delivered with the care it deserves.

Booking Fee

A $50.00 booking fee is required to reserve a date for all stacked wedding cakes.
  • This fee secures your spot on our busy calendar.
  • It is not applied to the cost of your cake
  • If KMC Bakery must cancel, the booking fee will be refunded.
  • If you cancel, the booking fee is non-refundable

Security Deposit for Cake Supports & Stands

We use high-quality, non-disposable supports, stands, and serving sets to keep your cake stable and beautiful. A $250.00 security deposit is required when using any of our non-disposable items.

  • This deposit is not applied to the cost of your cake.
  • If all items are returned in the same condition within 3 calendar days          after your event, the full deposit will be refunded.
  • If items are returned after 3 days, the entire deposit is forfeited.

Disposable Supports

If you choose not to use or return KMC Bakery's non-disposable supports, stands, or serving sets, a $50.00 disposable support fee will be added to your cake total. These items do not need to be returned. 

Design Expectations

Every cake we create is handmade with care, and we want your design to feel personal and special. To keep expectations clear:

  • We do our best to match inspiration photos, but exact replication is          not guaranteed.
  • Colors, textures, and decorative elements may vary slightly due to the        nature of custom baking. 
  • Fresh flowers used on cakes must be provided by a florist unless we've      arranged otherwise.
  • If a design element becomes unavailable or structurally unsafe, we            may adjust it while keeping the overall look and feel of your cake.
  • Our goal is always to deliver a cake that is beautiful, stable, and true to      your vision.

Outdoor Events

Outdoor cakes can be stunning, but they do come with extra considerations.

  • Heat, humidity, wind, and uneven surfaces can affect the cake once it        has been delivered.
  • Buttercream and fondant can soften in warm temperatures.
  • Insects and dust may be present outdoors.
  • Once the cake is set up at your venue (indoors or outdoors)                        responsibility transfers to the client or venue.

We're happy to offer guidance on the safest placement and timing for outdoor cakes. 

Invoices & Payment

After your final design and event details are confirmed, KMC Bakery will send an invoice for your approval and signature.

  • The full balance of your cake must be paid 30 days before the delivery date.
  • Orders not paid by the deadline may be canceled. 

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, refunds are issued as follows:

  • If you cancel before the cake is paid in full, and you have paid a         security deposit:
     You will receive 50% of your security deposit back.
  • If you cancel after the cake has been paid in full:
     You will receive 25% of the cake cost back. Your security deposit will      be refunded in full.

Contract Agreement

All clients will be asked to sign a contract confirming that they have read and agree to KMC Bakery's policies.
